# What StonkMe is

> Markets on tokenized stocks where the traders put their own money at risk first.

Someone has a take on the market: *AI stocks aren't done yet*, or *Tesla drops after deliveries*. On StonkMe they open a **market** on it and put up the money. Two to five **traders** join and compete to grow that money, trading only the stocks the market allows.

Every trader stakes their own USDC before they can make a trade. If the market loses money, the loss comes out of the traders' stakes first, before it reaches the creator's money. If it makes money, the trader keeps 30% of the profit and the creator keeps 70%.

## The four verbs

| **Launch** | A trader | Launches a token on Meteora. When the curve fills, half of the raise lands in their stake, locked. |
| **Stake** | A trader | Deposits USDC (or the launch raise) into a stake vault. It backs every trade they make. |
| **Trade** | Traders | Join a market and trade its stocks. The program checks every trade against their stake. |
| **Predict** | Anyone | Buys outcome tokens on how the market ends. Our own program settles them. |

## Where it runs

StonkMe runs on **Solana devnet** today, with mock USDC and mock tokenized stocks priced live from Hyperliquid. The app is at [app.stonkme.fun](https://app.stonkme.fun), invite only, with an Android app for the Solana Seeker. The same market also runs as a contract on Hyperliquid testnet.
